ABOUT ROSE VILLA

Rose Villa was built in 1890 in the Edwardian style. Unfortunately all of its original character was removed before the present owner purchased the property although the under ground “well” was found during the extensive extensions. The Care Home was established in 1983 and was extended in two stages to the present building in 1988 with the addition of the large conservatory built recently.

The Home is run as a friendly, family home, and as such, we like to involve residents, staff, friends and family in all our day to day activities.

Rose Villa cares for 20 residents with dementia, and for persons who are frail and elderly.

We have a mixture of shared and single rooms, an assisted bathroom and a walk in shower room.

A passenger lift is used to access the first floor.

We cater for long stay care, residential respite care and day respite care .

Residents are encouraged to carry on with their own comfortable routines and activities, to choose their own GP, to bring with them furniture and effects to personalise their room.

We can arrange for residents to access services from our visiting hairdresser, chiropodist and optician, or they can use someone of their choice.

Television, dvd, telephone points and wi-fi can be provided if required.

Meal times are always a pleasure at Rose Villa. A choice of home cooked food is offered at every meal.

Newspapers are delivered daily, books and talking books are provided, and there is always someone around to chat with.

Rose Villa has a beautiful garden area which compliments the Home, for residents and families to relax in, and is accessible to all via the conservatory regardless of disabilities.

A number of family days are held throughout the year, which are always well attended by residents families, and also by members of staff and their families.
